Tosha Tips #6
Your wedding photos are one of the biggest mementos from your wedding day. Over the years working with many talented wedding photographers we’ve come to a list of moments that you’ll want your trusted photographer to capture.
You with your Wedding Party. Besides the inevitable selfies, you’re going to want a couple great shots while you’re preparing for the ceremony. Invite your photographer to drop by and capture a few shots so you won’t have to rely on your friends family and their phone cameras.
Family moments before the ceremony: whether natural family or chosen family, be certain to capture these moments before the ceremony with your favourite people. These are often some of the most cherished shots from the day.
The first look: The moment when you see your partner during your ceremony is always a great shot. This can be easy to miss, so make sure your photog has a great view for this moment, especially if you’ve gone with a “phone-free” ceremony
The first kiss: A no-brainer, but you must include! This is your first official moment as a married couple, so be sure you choose your favourite snap of this occasion.
Parent-child dances: These moments are very special and it’s a great shot that family members will be proud of for many many years to come.
Dance, dance, dance shots: You and your college friends in a circle singing your favourite song; your aunt and uncle getting down to the macarena or maybe your flower girl doing the latest Tik-Tok dance trend on the dance floor. You’ll want to see these again in a few years.
A great send-off: However you exited the ceremony or reception, you’ll want to capture that moment when you and your partner head off into you life together.
Our biggest tip is to trust your photographer. They’ve been through many many ceremonies before and will go out of their way to get the shots you desire.
